On Wimbledon... some interesting tidbits indeed to pick from.

Dmitry Tursunov might be the biggest. He had the biggest upset of the fortnight, taking out the British #1, Tim Henman, in the 2nd round. Tursunov was Binghamton's top seed last year and hasn't played more than 6 tournaments since Binghamton, due to injury. Tursunov extended his grand slam 5 set record to 4-0 against Henman, but then lost a 5 setter to Grosjean in the quarterfinals... impressive outing. The Henman upset is almost as big as the Karlovic-Hewitt upset in 2003. Speaking of Karlovic, after getting on TV the week before in the finals of the Wimbledon tune up... he went out in the 1st round in a stunning upset loss to Bracciali, a lucky loser.

Tipsarevic again showed his progress by advancing to the 3rd round and losing to semifinalist, Johansson. He's made it to at least the 2nd round of every slam this year. Also, last year's Binghamton finalists, Okun and Udomchoke, both qualified and Udomchoke won a 5 set thriller in the 1st round.

Also noteworthy was the amount of American boys in the deep rounds of the boys tournament. That isn't odd, but it is a good.
