Brzezicki leads field of familiar names

Get ready,  here is the entry list.  Full of familiar names of the past.  Keep in mind, as in the past… the draw will change from this list with at least a few additions and subtractions.   Wild cards have been very fruitful in the past, and no reason to think otherwise this year.

Player Highlights:

Top of the list Brzezicki-  Tough name to get out there, but you should recognize it.  He made the 3rd round of the French this year and has had great success on the Challenger circuit this year.  He’s been around a while,  redefining the “slow and steady improvement”.   You look at his rankings chart, and it is slow and steady moving in the right direction.  Based on his Challenger results this year,  he’ll be taking some good shots at the next level.

Bobby Reynolds-  Been here before, but still a good American name.  Top collegiate in 2003; qualified and reached 3rd round of ’05 Australian Open; reached career best ranking at 92 in Dec ‘05. Binghamton participant in ’04 and ’05 (SF).

Our defending champ, Scott Oudsema, is returning.  Scott hasn’t done much impressive since last August here at Rec Park.

Other usual suspects include Kim, Ram, Vemic, Witten, Bogo.   We also have some favorites, like Nathan Healey (recall his qualifying run to the SFs a couple of years ago), former Champ Noam Okun, Sam Warburg, Richard Bloomfield and Jamie Baker.   Ryan Sweeting joins us, one of the promising youth in the last few years who won the US Open juniors in '05.
