About Us
Tennis Charities of Binghamton, Inc. is a not-for-profit, 501 (c) (3) organization. We incorporated in 2002 for the following purposes:
- To promote and develop the growth of tennis in the New York Southern Tier region through organizing and operating the annual Levene Gouldin & Thompson Tennis Challenger
- To conduct tennis clinics to teach and promote tennis
- To support local not-for-profit tax exempt entities through providing space at the tournament for selected not-for-profit organizations to conduct fund-raising activities
The last few years we have hosted the Discovery Center's "Pastabilities Taste of Tennis" and the YMCA's "Party in the Park". Over $50, 000 has been raised during charity events held at the tournament.
