Baghdatis Withdraws

Marcos Baghdatis, the 4th seeded player at the LG&T Tennis Challenger, withdrew from the tournament after arriving at the site and completing a practice session. Baghdatis, who arrived in Binghamton from the tournament in Vancouver Canada, at 3:30 Tuesday morning, said he did not want to risk aggravating the injuries he has been fighting to overcome for the past 1 ½ years. Baghdatis was unhappy about being scheduled to play Tuesday night and again Wednesday afternoon, stating that he needed a day of recovery time.
